HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS - Ronald B. Ashley, 72, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away November 26, 2016. He was born July 8, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas, to Charles Bennett and Betty Nadine (Disney) Ashley. He attended Highland Park High School. Ron was a longtime business owner who got his start in Topeka, Kansas, first opening Rainbow Imports then Kaw Valley Mercantile. He also owned businesses in downtown Hot Springs, Eureka Springs, and Mountain Home, specializing in leather craftsmanship and dealing retail artwork. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Corey Littleton. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Ashley of Hot Springs; daughters, Aaron May Agus of Little Rock, Sage Marie Ashley of Mountain Home, Whitney Ashley Littleton of Maumelle; brothers, Steve Ashley (Carol), Chris Ashley (Nancy) both of Topeka, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron Ashley "Stick" was a good friend back in high school. I send my condolences to his family. It's sad to see our old friends leave us! Life is a precious thing we need to make sure we live it to the fullest, we are all on the back nine now, play our last holes well. RIP STICK!
