MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Clayton R. Chapman, 64, passed away on August 9, 2008, of complications from pneumonia.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.  Clayton is survived by his wife, Felipa; sons Roger (Cindy), Clayton II (Kim), and Ernie (Neomi); daughter, Teresa Guess (Don); eight grandchildren, and brothers, Clinton Jr. and William, both of Topeka, Kansas, and Robert, Florence, Kentucky.

Clayton was born January 18, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri.  His family moved to Topeka, Kansas in September 1956.  He attended East Avondale Elementary School, Southwest Avondale Junior High School, and was a graduate of Highland Park High School.  He received his associate degree from Hutchinson Junior College and joined the Air Force after college.  He retired after 20 years of service to his country as a Master Sgt.  He and his family spent the winter months in Henderson, Nevada and the summer months in The Philippines.
