Ken Fisher

TOPEKA, KANSAS - Kenneth Wayne Fisher, 70, Topeka, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 24, 2014.  Ken was born March 20, 1944, in Ada, Oklahoma, the son of Clifford and Betty Germann Fisher.  Ken attended Seaman High School, graduated from Highland Park High, and served our country in the Army National Guard.  On October 10, 1964, Ken and Barbara Jean Bohl were united in marriage.  They celebrated their 50th anniversary last month.  Ken worked at By-Lo Grocery as a meat-cutter, owned Ken's Super Saver, worked for food brokers, worked for Laird-Noller Ford, and had a hand in many car lots.  He roofed houses, was a handyman, and had a newspaper route for the Topeka Capital-Journal for 20 years.  You name it he probably did it!  Survivors include Ken's wife, Barb; children, Monty, Dusty, and Wendy Fisher; grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Dawson, Haylee, Raynee, Kaleb, and soon-to-be born grandson; and siblings, Doug, Steve, Greg, Judy, Mary, Jeanne, and Theresa.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents.  A parish rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where family will greet friends following the rosary until 8 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sacred Heart-St. Joseph Parish, 312 NE Freeman, Topeka KS 66616.
