TOPEKA, KANSAS - Stephen T. Skip Heinrich, 69, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.  He was born November 16, 1944 in Topeka, the son of Stephen and Barbara McCubbin Heinrich.  He graduated from Highland Park High School.  Skip was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a journeyman sheet metal worker for most of his life.  Skip was a car and nature enthusiast.  Survivors include his two children, Thomas T. Heinrich of Oceanside, CA, Traci K. VanSchaick of Topeka, and three grandchildren, Mickenzi, Kyli, and Levi.  A Celebration of Skip's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.  Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions were made to the St. Francis Health Foundation, 1700 West 7th St., Topeka, KS 66606-1690.
