Gary Henderson

LECOMPTON, KANSAS - Gary Alvin Henderson, age 73, of Lecompton passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at his home. Gary was born May 4, 1944 in Topeka the son of Alvin and Nellie Clark Henderson. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School. He worked at Adams Business Forms for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He married Diane Accord. She passed away in 1988. He married Rhonda Walter December 19, 1993. Gary was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as treasurer. He was an active member of the Topeka softball community, playing in many leagues and all over the country. He also participated in the Kansas Senior Olympics in many different sports. He was a very avid K.U. and Royals fan and also enjoyed fishing throughout his life. Gary is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Lecompton; a son, Tracey (Jerika) Henderson of Topeka; a step daughter, Robin Bell of Topeka; a sister, Barbara Hendrix of Topeka and two grandchildren, Vincent and Trey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Henderson. 

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Felker Softball Complex. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. The family requests that everyone wear their favorite sports shirt to the services.
