How did you spend your "working" years, including volunteer work?

Was an Inhalation Therapist for 3 years; Billing Clerk with Retail Grocers for 13 years; Quality Control Inspector with Gasket Engineers for 20 years until retirement in 2007.
Volunteer work included: Speaking engagements with youth in KC pertaining to self improvement; encouraging education; provided religious services to nursing homes; sings in various churches in KC.

What are your hobbies, pastimes, causes, leisure activities?

Assisting elderly and avid spectator in all forms of sports: die-hard Chief's fan, basketball, baseball, etc. Love spending time with grandchildren. Love of sports began with parents-mother was a great basketball player in Elreno, OK; father was in the football league for OK State & he was a boxer and minister for many years. .

What's on your "bucket list"?

I would like to see more families get closer and value those relationships. I would also like to travel to Jerusalem.

School Memories:

Oldest brother, Lloyd Kemp, is in the HPHS "Hall of Fame" and played for K State. My major sports activities were shot put, javelin and discus. I was 2nd in the nation, throwing the basketball 971/2 feet. I held the national record for the shot put-43' 1 1/2"--for 6 years when it was broken in the Jr. Olympics. I lost by only 1/2" going to the Rome Olympics in 1960. I was Rocky Mountain Champion in the shot put.
