TOPEKA, KANSAS - Larry David Linder, 67, Topeka, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at Stormont-Vail Hospital.  He was born on April 19, 1944, in Topeka, the son of Edmund D. and Bertha J. (Billings) Linder. 

He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1962.  He worked for Carling Black Label, Coors Distributing, and Underground Storage Medical Records.  He was a NASCAR fan and raced on the Topeka area dirt tracks in the '60s and '70s.  His car was 44.  He was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church.

Surviviing are six brothers; Richard L. (Patty), Melvin D. (Lelia), Keith A. (Vickie), Marvin G. (Diana), Dale E. (Brenda), and Jerry W. Linder, all of Topeka; and two sisters; Shirley M. (Jerry) Kincaid of Berryton and Carol A. Tillman of Topeka.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by six siblings; Evelyn Phillips, Sandra K. Best, Charles E. Linder, Gary B. Linder, Kenneth D. Linder, and Betty Hewer.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel.  Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery.  Memorial contributions were made to the Oakland Presbyterian Church or Helping Hands Humane Society.
