MESQUITE, NV - Donald Taggart, age 79 of Mesquite, NV passed away September 12, 2023.  He was born in Ogden, UT on July 11, 1944. He grew up in Topeka, KS where he attended Highland Park High School.  He joined the U.S. Navy at 17. He often said, "The Navy saved my life."  He relocated to Los Angeles where he met his wife, Diana. They were married in September, 1969. They had twin sons in 1977.  Don's working years were spent mostly in plumbing and excavating. He ended his career by owning his own Excavating company in Salt Lake City, UT for 22 years.  He retired in 2010.  He enjoyed boating and motorcycling. Don was preceded in death by his son Douglas in February, 2023. Don is survived by his wife Diana, his son Ryan, Mary Johnson, and his granddaughters, Maddie Stewart and Rowan Taggart.
