Judy White (Borgia)

NAPLES, FL - Elma "Judy" Blevins (White) Borgia, 73, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 following a brief illness at her son and daughter-in-law’s residence in Naples, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born in Ochlocknee, GA on February 3, 1943, the youngest of 9 children. Her parents died when Judy was a young girl and she moved to Topeka, KS in 1957 to live with an older sister, Ruby and her husband Bob Dennison. She attended Rice Elementary School and graduated in 1962 from Highland Park High School where she was an attendant at the Clansmen’s Ball. She then moved to Jacksonville, FL where she met and married Joseph Borgia who died September 29, 1998. Together they owned and operated several businesses. They managed a hotel in Freeport, Grand Bahamas and later Joseppi’s Restaurant in Naples, FL. Judy later owned and operated Judy’s Cleaning Service. Always an energetic and hard worker, Judy also helped with her sons’ family businesses.

Judy loved the game of tennis and continued to play competitively most of her adult life. She also enjoyed golf and fishing in the Gulf. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she most enjoyed spending time with them.

Judy is survived by sisters Louise, Jacksonville, FL and Jennie, Thomasville, GA. Also surviving are sons Joe (Dawn) and their sons Brice and Anthony, and son John (Marcella) and their sons Noah and Jonah, all of Naples, FL. Also surviving are step-children Rossi, Jim and Gina. Step-children, Joey and Charleen predeceased Judy.

Judy was tenderly cared for by her son (Joe) and daughter-in-law (Dawn), an LPN, and surrounded by her extensive, close and loving family. According to her wishes, she was cremated and her remains were sprinkled in the Gulf and over her parents’ and brother’s gravesites in Georgia.

I'm so sorry to lose my good friend - it's hard to say good-bye. No more pain, no more suffering. But good memories of the gift she was and always will be. Love always, Judy!

I would like to send my sympathies to Judy's sisters, her sons and their families. Judy was always so pleasant and  never without a smile for all her classmates. I am sorry to hear she is no longer with us.
