TOPEKA, KANSAS - Howard T. Albright, age 79, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Midland Hospice House.

He was born the son of Ralph H. and Anna Rosemond (Zeller) Albright on November 9, 1944, in Topeka, KS. He attended Highland Park High School.

On June 5, 1964, Howard married his beloved wife, Joyce “Joy" Miller in Topeka, KS. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage.

Howard worked for the railroad and after 15 plus years, he retired as a gang leader. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching all the NFL games, basketball, and NASCAR races. He admired a variety of pickup trucks, enjoyed gardening, and you could find him enjoying a nice cigar.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Albright; two sons, Marty Albright and Troy Albright; one daughter, Jeanette Fergel; as well as three grandchildren, J.T. Albright, Jessica Fergel, James (Jimmy) D. Fergel; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Abby. Other survivors include two brothers, Ralph Albright and his wife Debbie, and Brian Albright and his wife Sondra.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Albright.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2:30 to 3:00 P.M., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 P.M., all at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
