Worked as RN at University of Kansas Medical Center for 14 years, then joined Air Force Nurse Corps serving in Grand Forks AFB, ND (a winter nightmare); Charleston AFB, SC; Sumter AFB, SC; Lakenheath, England; Incurlick, Turkey; Ft. Worth, TX; Scott AFB, MO; Seymour Johnson AFB, NC with shorter working trips to Germany (Operation Desert Storm) and Italy (AF Fast Response Surgical Team). Had a wonderful time almost every day. Then, joined the VA Hospital System in Iowa City, IA and Durham, NC working in ICU and nursing personnel education. Volunteered during tornado relief in 2011, manning shelters throughout NC.

Life's a Beach!! We are downsizing from Cary, NC and going Atlantic Beach NC full time soon. Love traveling, gardening, remodeling homes, and cruising the Carolina Crystal Coast. Now into quilting, stained glass and volunteering with the local groups.

Revisit Europe and Egyptian archeological sites, go to Australia, finish visiting the USA since I've missed many of the northeastern states.
Spend even more time with the grand-kid crew. Chase my husband around

TP expos after collecting rolls and "buds" from all local gas stations. Dancing until dawn at local nightclub--my folks NEVER knew I was just 3 miles down the road.
Slumber parties doing the fainting game--thank goodness not for long since it kills brain cells!
Singing "Tom Dooley" (off key) as our group walked around the ball field.
Drill team, Dial "M" for Murder, train trip to New York/Washington DC (almost got sent home since we stayed out to get Lucille Ball's autograph), and class senior trip to the Ozarks.
